The Community launches an initiative for young people to develop the art of videogames

The 'Interactive industries for young people' space offers a videogame course that will be held between January 26 and March 23 , with a total of 24 places

The Community has launched 'The space of interactive industries of the Region of Murcia', a program that was born with the aim of informing, training and putting into practice all aspects related to the video game industry using a practical approach and with professional vocation, where "workshops, tournaments, talks and personalized advice will be the main arteries of dissemination and interaction with users," said the general director of Youth, Francisco Sanchez.

The general director explained that this program includes both the world of production, programming, graphics, design and assembly and the professionalization of the same in sports and communication with journalists of 'e-sports' and gamers, and platforms of mass dissemination online like YouTube.

The 'Space' "comes to stay in Murcia with the aim of activating a productive, industrial and cultural fabric that reinvents new ways of creating and working, and that can suppose a new professional outlet in the Region for young people," said Sánchez, who noted that this program becomes "a measure of support for young Murcia interested in knowing the art of programming, illustration and animation, and make this their future work."

He also recalled that it is a new initiative, in response to the proposals contained in the Participatory Budgets of 2018, with which the Ministry "will offer the opportunity to young creators to perform performances for free, to be held in the Art Laboratory Young".

"This is a great initiative to promote the active participation of young people, as well as an opportunity for young artists from the Murcia Region to demonstrate their talent," said Sánchez.

The 'Interactive industries for youth' space includes in its programming a video game course that will take place on January 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23 and March 2, 9, 16 and 23, and has a total of 24 places.

This action will be given by the graphic artist Salvador Espín, of Marvel Comics, and the programmer Nacho Hernández Marín.

The registration period continues open until the places are sold out.

Young people between 16 and 30 years old can participate in the course, with the only requirement of being attached to the Youth Card.

The application can be formalized through the web www.mundojoven.org.
