VOX Murcia: The express reform of the Statute of Autonomy reflects the failure and hypocrisy of PP and PSOE

Thursday, January 31st, 2019

The proposal of statutory modification to declare the existence of a historical debt demonstrates the failure of the autonomic system and the hypocrisy of the PP, which had occasion to change the financing system and did not do so.

The proposal of law presented by the PP in the General Assembly for an urgent reform of the Statute of Autonomy that recognizes the existence of a historical debt is the most palpable proof of the failure of its management at the head of the Autonomous Community.

Those more than 7,500 million euros that the regional PP claims the Socialist Government come mainly from the nefarious management of national competencies, mainly education and health, which should never be transferred to the autonomous communities.

The financial debacle of the regional coffers is one of the disastrous consequences of this territorial model, which VOX is committed to reforming in the near future in accordance with the Constitution.

The division of basic skills exponentially increases the cost of public services, promotes inequality among Spaniards and encourages corruption.

On the other hand, the Popular Party of Murcia once again demonstrates a great hypocrisy in denouncing this supposed historical debt only when it loses national power and becomes occupied by its political rival.

Do not forget that Rajoy was governing for almost eight years, the first four with absolute majority, without introducing the necessary mechanisms of correction in the regional financing system.

But it is now, a few months of the regional elections when the popular try to sell to their electorate that the financial disaster of the Autonomous Community of Murcia is the exclusive responsibility of the Socialists.

Faced with this new example of bad management and hypocrisy, VOX calls for the centralization of the main national competences (Justice, Education and Health), which will mean an unprecedented saving that will alleviate the tax burden of all Spaniards.

VOX Murcia also requires the regional government to stop demagoguery with a problem that is largely responsible and act accordingly by returning the skills you neither know nor can manage, instead of announcing absurd reforms lightning knowing its uselessness.

The regional deputy of Podemos, María López, has stated that "the government of López Miras again shows its inefficiency and turn its back on the mandates of the Regional Assembly", in this case it has not transferred, nor has it provided the resources to the City Councils that during this year should have developed Law 6/2017, "the Town Councils had until December to develop the law, but the regional government has abandoned it in a drawer", and it is that it has not been developed in almost any municipality, except for honorable exceptions such as the case of Molina de Segura, where "the government of change has allowed the development of an ordinance, even more ambitious than the aforementioned regional law on animal welfare".

"

CCOO Teaching warns that the drop in school drop-out is not attributable to the LOMCE

Thursday, January 31st, 2019

The union proposes the development and increase of scholarships and aid in non-university education, and that these are once again considered a subjective right, to face the educational abandonment that affects the population between the ages of 18 and 24 that, after Complete the Compulsory Secondary Education, does not continue any type of training.

The LOMCE, published in the BOE on December 10, 2013, did not enter into force until 20 days later.

In its fifth final provision, the implementation schedule is specified and it is indicated that the modifications in the curriculum, organization, etc., for ESO (1st and 3rd) would not begin until the 2015-2016 academic year.

Hence, the first full promotion of the LOMCE that will complete post-compulsory studies will be that of the 2020/2021 academic year.

Therefore, it can not be said that the significant reduction in Early Education Abandonment has been passed in ten years (2008-2018) from 31.7% to 17.9%: 13.8 points of difference is the product of said law.

On the contrary, the LOMCE has meant a decline in equity, quality and the right to education that has affected a large number of children and young people, as well as a sharp cut in educational investment and a setback in education. the social and labor rights of workers in the education sector.

Despite the notable drop in abandonment, we are still in the tail car of the most developed countries, so it is urgent to take measures that strengthen the right to education: the public school, as the backbone of the educational system;

measures to improve equity within the centers, allocating resources to those who need it most;

the policies of scholarships and aids in non-university education and that these are again considered a subjective right, as reflected in an amendment presented by CCOO and approved by the Plenary of the State School Board on January 8, which also we have defended in the Meeting of the Observatory of Scholarships and Aids;

a sufficient and equitable financing and armored of the political swings, that allows Spain to be placed once, and in a stable way, between the countries that more and better invest in education.

In this sense, we demand an investment that compensates territorial inequalities, and also linked to socially and politically debated projects, with objectives and priorities that respond to the educational needs shared by all of society.

No less important is to turn the current curriculum away from the cumulative and segmentary character, to make it more open and flexible, and to dignify and strengthen a quality Vocational Training that is an educational and technical professional reference for both young people and for the labor market

At this time, a large part of the drop in early school leaving has to do with the increase of students in the FP.
