The Community grants aid to the fishing sector worth 131,700 euros

They are aimed at promoting sustainable fisheries, health, safety, competitiveness and the viability of companies

The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has granted this year aid to the fishing sector worth 131,700 euros, co-financed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (FEMP).

The purpose of this aid is the promotion of sustainable fishing, health, safety, competitiveness and the viability of companies in the sector.

A commission assessed the applications submitted and selected those that meet the requirements.

The aid will be allocated to the acquisition of navigation equipment (radars, plotter, cartography, …), new beaconing of the almadraba La Azohía facilities, computerization system and auction management of the auction of Aguilas, updating of the auction system electronics of the market of Mazarron and the advice of the artisanal fisheries, biological monitoring and design of management plans of the Fishermen's Association of San Pedro del Pinatar, among others.

The beneficiaries must comply with the obligations demanded by the regulations, make the investments for which the aid is granted, justify the grant awarded and submit to the actions of verification and monitoring of the Ministry, among other aspects.
