The International Festival of Youth Orchestra brings together musicians from Norway, Sweden and Czech Republic

The concert program and hearings began on April 11 and concludes April 16 with a concert of all participating musicians led by composer Jumillano Roque Baños

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, today presented the XXX International Festival of Youth Orchestras from April 11 to April 16 will bring together musicians from Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic and Spain, plus six groups regional musical.

Cruz was accompanied by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, the manager of the Foundation Cajamurcia, Pascual Martinez, Councilman Festivals and Popular Culture of Murcia, Rafael Gomez, festival director, José Antonio Clemente, the external relations officer from El Corte Ingles, Santiago Sánchez, and composer Roque Baños Jumillano, that will lead the international band formed with musicians from the participating groups.

This edition will be held concerts in Lorca, Cartagena, Aguilas and Murcia.

The counselor said, "The festival fills cultural spaces, urban and has a capacity to mobilize large part of society."

In addition, Cruz said the meeting "commitment to decentralization, which is one of the hallmarks of distinction of this festival that stands for quality, uniqueness and history of it."

The participating international orchestras are Artic Strings Orchestra in Norway and Sweden, and Orchestr Novomestsky the Czech Republic, which joined the national: Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante and Woodwind Quintet Xylos of the Barenboim-Said Foundation .

Are regional orchestras Orchestra Winds and Percussion Music Conservatory of Murcia, the Chamber Orchestra of University of Murcia, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, the String Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Lorca, Coral University of Murcia and the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.

The festival includes more than twenty concerts and recitals, as well as the closing concert, which will be led by Roque Baños, with musicians from all participants in the festival orchestra to be held April 16 at 20:00 hours at the Auditorio Victor Villegas.
