Valcárcel states that continue to defend the Tajo-Segura "tooth and nail" to "get us the water we need"

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

The president of the Community describes as "chaotic" that the Segura basin water management plan included in the Segura basin a scenario that provides the "definitive suspension of the transfer"

States that "there will be a person of the Government of Murcia" in monitoring "every role" to be prepared for the river basin plans

The regional chief executive says the Region of Murcia has established "a very good use of water" and added that his defense "is not a political strategy or a hitch flag" but "a necessity"

The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, said today that continue to defend the Tajo-Segura "tooth and nail" to "we get the much needed water in the region."

and that "there is always this one person in this government" in the defense of the aqueduct and the monitoring of "every part" to be prepared for the basin plans.

The Chief Executive explained Murcia during the meeting held with the media for the balance of 2010, which last week sent the Minister of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Rosa Aguilar, "not be fooled "to the process of elaboration of the Tajo basin which includes an increase of ecological flow" without any criteria. "

So he said, that "if the plan is approved Tajo basin as it is, would end the transfer," and recalled that "since there are 240 reserve hectometres under whose blade can not transfer one liter," and if will increase the ecological wealth "would not have the volume of water to Murcia."

"It's a political cejación to end the transfer to the Segura basin," added the president, who said that tributaries of the river Tagus as Alberche has fewer contributions covered only the head and ecological wealth. "

In addition, Valcárcel described as "chaotic" that the Segura basin "accepted in the basin water plan a point which was heading the definitive suspension of the Tajo-Segura."

The president said that the Region of Murcia has established "good use of the water that makes" and added that his defense "is not a political strategy or a hitch flag," but "a necessity."

The regional chief executive said that "the maintenance of the law is good for the interest of Murcia" and "not a whim, because, he said," we're talking about water that produce fruits and vegetables exported to other regions. "

Lies on water management

The president of the Community noted that "have said many lies" about water management in Murcia, referring to the golf course to which he said, "has not gone to or in one liter of water transfer" .

"We need water for drinking and to maintain our agriculture," said the President of Murcia, who remarked that "a river Tagus in Spain and the Region of Murcia is Spain," so said "do not do anything wrong asking for something that nobody needs. "

He added that "there never would ask anything that was limiting water use for anything other regions," but noted that the flows that run through the river Tajo "only 5 percent come to Murcia, Alicante and Almeria.

Antonio Jimenez claims that more than 200 workers of the Regional Autonomous Television are at risk of losing their jobs

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

and calls for a different model of management away from "simplistic and demagogic positions" with "bad results"

The Secretaries General of UGT and CCOO Murcia have appeared this morning at a press conference to discuss the serious consequences that could arise from the budget reduction of up to 80% in the largest regional land audiovisual

UGT already predicted they know the latest news from the TV Autonomous Region of Murcia: the company would have problems.

Too much external production, too much capital invested in production outside the region would end up taking its toll.

This company audiovisual Murcia, most of our territory, began in 2006 and seemed the "solution" for future generations of young journalists from Murcia that after years of college or vocational training, wanted to open a hole in the collective regional media.

This was explained this morning at a press conference the Secretary General of UGT Murcia, Antonio Jiménez, that following the adoption of the already very well known "Extraordinary Measures Law for Sustainability of Public Finances," Autonomic Television Murcia could see its budget reduced by up to 80%, "a situation which might suppose that some 220 direct jobs and 300 indirect lost his job, and all because of an inefficient economic management has abandoned the true meaning public service, which was supposed, was to have this means of communication. "

"We," continued the Secretary General of UGT Region Murcia, "a law unto itself dark, poorly written, made back to the workers and to say that with contempt and little sensitivity to all public employees."

And, do not forget that the Autonomous Regional Television is or should be, an impartial public service away from partisan interests.

Also, the General Workers Union claimed that when a change in the provision of regional public television that the new contractor could eventually take the grant, staff members make each and every one of the labor contracts in the terms agreed Regional government in the Pact for Employment Promotion of the Region of Murcia.

"We will not allow play with the jobs," added Jimenez.

In another vein, Jones took the opportunity to denounce partisanship that managers of the Murcia Region 7 had the Dec. 23, the day on which the Regional Assembly passed this law, to relay "only the President's speech of Autonomous Region, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, when the relay was originally scheduled full parliamentary debate "attitude is far from the objectivity and impartiality to be followed by the media.

Both unions have asked to assign responsibility for this unacceptable in a democratic system.

In this situation, and as noted by the Secretary General of CCOO Murcia, Daniel Well, it is necessary to analyze the viability of the Autonomous Regional Television from a sustainable perspective.

Everyone knows he explained, "that this medium has been nurtured by the excessive external production that does nothing to remove employed a workforce of young people who are amply qualified to perform their own productions, which would lower the cost much."
