Authorized the hiring of electricity supply to the premises of the Segura River Basin

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today announced that the Council of Ministers held this morning approved a supplemental appropriation of 33 million euros for the Commonwealth of Taibilla Channels, upon request of the autonomous body.

Commonwealth Taibilla Channels requested this extension of credit because of the gap between payments and returns from the European Union Funds for these payments.

Authorized the hiring of electric power facilities Segura basin

• The expenditures for this contract amounts to EUR 21,429,656.72

Community and central government working together in the prevention of drug addiction

The regional government has approved an agreement with the Department of Health and Social Policy develops the general protocol of cooperation on drug addiction, signed in 1999 between the Interior Ministry and the Autonomous Community.

Under this agreement, the Community will receive 190,000 euros from the fund of assets seized from drug trafficking and related crimes.

30,000 euros to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Maria de la Arrixaca

The Governing Council has approved an aid of 30,000 euros to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Maria de la Arrixaca to assist in operating costs.

The objectives of this institution are to promote study, criticism and research in the arts in general and painting, sculpture, architecture, music and arts of the image.

With this help, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism funds activities and tasks that complement and support the dissemination and knowledge of museum and art funds in the Region of Murcia.

155,000 euros for actions and information services for young people in nine municipalities

The Governing Council has approved a grant worth a total of 155,260 euros for the nine municipalities in the region with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants to carry out revitalization activities and information services for young people.

Consistories beneficiaries of this investment from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are the Albudeite, Aledo, Campos del Rio, Librilla, Eyes, Pliego, Ricote, Ulea and Villanueva del Río Segura.

The amount of aid is distributed based on population.

Each council will undertake activities for youth information services and new technologies for the use and development of information technologies, as well as promotion programs, which include activities to establish healthy lifestyles, promotion of cultural values and artistic values education, multiculturalism and youth participation.

The Governing Council last week authorized a grant of 1,417,048 euros overall to 36 municipalities in the region of more than 5,000 inhabitants for the same purpose.

30,000 euros to boost the cluster of machinery and food equipment

The regional government has approved an aid of 30,000 euros to the Regional Federation of Employers of the Metal de Murcia (FREMM) for the development of cluster activities Agro Machinery and Equipment in the Region.

Nearly half a million euros for development of the Avanza Plan in the Region

The Governing Council approved the addendum to the agreement with the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce for the development of various programs under the Avanza Plan 2005-2010, for which the two governments will provide the amount of 479,000 euros each, what the total project amounts to 958,100 euros.

It will implement the actions of Digital Citizenship program, which aims to promote the incorporation of citizens to the Information Society, facilitating access to Information Technology and Communication (ICT) and promote the provision of services, including training and advice for using these technologies in the home.

In the field of eGovernment, will develop actions for the modernization of the internal management of local and regional administration and to improve public services to interact with citizens through ICT.

The last program that includes this agreement is on the field of digital SMEs, for which will be implemented ICT applications and services such as electronic invoicing, with the aim of improving business opportunities and enhance the modernization and computerization of these companies .

The Executive authorizes three new degree of Master and three universities in the Region

The regional government has approved the decree authorizing the establishment of the teachings of the university degrees of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate at the University of Murcia (UMU), Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) and the San Antonio Catholic de Murcia (UCAM), which will be held in the next academic year 2009-2010.

This ratifies the proposal from the Ministry of Universities and Research Company conducted the Inter-University Council held on Monday, which endorsed the offer to report favorably.

The regional government promotes the adaptation of titles at the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) with three new official degree, of those who taught Grade UMU and UCAM Biotechnology Degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education.

It also approved three new degrees of Master for UMU under the Master Teacher Training Secondary School Education, Training, Language and Arts Education (formerly CAP), Master in Gender and Equality MPH , Women and Care.

The Decree establishes the implementation of a total of 43 degrees in the three universities in the region of Murcia, almost every adaptation of titles already in place in these universities and is now suited to the Bologna Process, once assessed and verified by the University Council.

Of this total, 31 correspond to the UMU, seven to five to UPCT UCAM.

The offer also includes the adaptation of 16 official Master degrees already in place, of which 14 correspond to the UMU and two UPCT.

Doctor official titles, totaling 19, of which ten are given by the UMU-nine UPCT.

Similarly, the Council approved, by making use of summary procedure authorized by the Ministry of Education, public universities in the region can continue to provide the next academic graduate programs and previously implanted in them (93 in the UMU and 11 in UPCT).

Over 100,000 euros for the confederations and associations of parents of students

The regional government has approved a grant for a total of 102,215 euros to the confederations and associations of parents of students in the Region of Murcia to cover its operating expenses, organization and activities.

The six recipients of the aid agencies, amounting to 17,035 euros each, are the Federation of Associations of Parents of Students Murcia Juan Gonzalez (FAPA-RM), the Federation of Associations of Parents of Students of Cartagena and Lorca, the Federation of Associations of Parents of Cooperative Education (Fampace), the Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations (Confapa) and Catholic Confederation of Parents and Parents of Pupils (CONCAPAN).

More than 635,000 euros for the improvement of school libraries in the Region

The Governing Council has approved an agreement between the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and the Ministry of Education to improve school libraries in the region.

The Community and the Ministry will provide 317,805 euros each, so the total to 635,610 euros.

Since 2005, a plan to improve school libraries in which both governments are committed to making the same financial contributions.

In previous years have received extraordinary charges to improve their libraries all centers and Primary Education, Secondary Schools, centers of specialized subjects and special education institutions.

Contributions approved today will target facilities for Adult Education, rural schools and centers clustered School Libraries Program in all its phases.

The allocations are intended to improve school libraries, both of its bibliographic and its equipment furniture, computer or audio depending on the characteristics and needs of each school.
